【第一课时】【教学自标】1. 知识自标：能够听懂、认读和理解单词 party、turkey。能听懂、会说、理解交际句型 'What about...?'，能听懂、会说、认读核心语言 'What is sb doing? Sb is ...'。
2. 能力目标：
(1) 能准确模仿本课录音中的内容；
(2) 能在图片、实物或情景的帮助下运用句型 'What is sb doing? Sb is ...' 询问他人正在做的事情并回答；
(3) 能正确吟唱歌曲 'We wish you a Merry Christmas'。
3. 情感态度、文化意识、学习策略：
(1) 体验节日的欢乐，增长学生节日文化知识，培养学生文化意识；
(2) 主动探寻与发现各种节日元素。
【教学重难点】
在实际情境中运用句型 'Is/Are ...ing? Yes, I am. / No, I'm not. Yes, he/she is. / No, he/she isn't. Yes, they are. / No, they aren't' 询问某人正在做什么并正确回答。
【教学准备】
1. 教师准备：课本、单词卡、配套音响、教学挂图、多媒体课件、课堂奖励贴画等；
2. 学生准备：课本。
【教学过程】
1. 热身活动：
(1) 师生用英语互致问候。
(2) 游戏：火眼金晴，教师用课件快速闪现相关单词和词组图片，如 watching TV、jumping、playing football 等，学生快速说出，为新课学习做铺垫。
(3) 做一做，说一说：教师请一名学生从复习过的动词词组中选一个做出动作，引导其他学生猜动作名称。
2. 新知呈现与操练：
(1) 由单词 singing 的教学引入，'Sally is singing a song. Let's listen. What song is it?' 教师播放歌曲 'We wish you a Merry Christmas'，并提问：'When is Christmas Day?' 'What do we often see on Christmas?' 'What do you do on Christmas Day?'
(2) 教师呈现 Sally 和 Ann 的对话图片，'Ann is talking to Sally on the phone. What are they talking about?' 引导学生理解情景并回答 'They are talking about a Christmas party.'
(3) 教师呈现第2幅图 'Sally's Christmas Party must be fun. What about the other members? What are they doing for the party?' 让学生猜测 Sally's father 的活动。
(4) 教师呈现第3幅图，'Sally and father are in the living room. Where is Sally's mother? What is she doing for the party?' 引导学生通过听课件音频猜测，并讨论圣诞节的食物，特别是圣诞火鸡。
(5) 教师在多媒体课件呈现第4幅图时总结，'Now let's see what Sally has for the party. Sally has cake, Christmas tree, gifts, and turkey for the Christmas party.' 并提出问题 'Is it a wonderful party? But what's missing?' 引导学生思考。
