Children usually celebrate their birthdays with birthday cards and parties, but it’s not for Logan Brown in the US. He has serious autism (自闭症). He can’t talk and doesn’t have any friends. His mother Catharine says he doesn’t get birthday cards or have parties for many years. This year is Logan’s twelfth birthday. His mum wants him to have a great birthday just like any other children, so she asks for help on the Internet. She writes a post, saying that she wishes the people online can send her son cards for his birthday. In Catharine’s post, she writes, “Will you write Happy Birthday Logan-From your friend—in Washington, Hawaiii…? Thanks!”
You know what? The Brown family get more than 3000 birthday cards from all over the country. A man even takes Logan to his favorite restaurant and have a small party for him. With the help of his mother and the Internet, Logan has a special birthday. He will remember it for the rest (剩余日子) of his life.
