The use of sense verbs: Sense verbs + adj.
Practice: TB, SB, Tape recorder, Pictures.
Teaching process and contents:
Organization: Greeting
Have a free talk about feelings and impressions: Feelings - happy, nervous, sad, cold; Expressions - friendly, nice/kind, shy, strict.
Presentation: Show five pictures on Bb.
Listening task: 1. Number the pictures. 2. Match the sentences with the pictures.
Play tape twice.
Blackboard writing: Homework.
Read each sentence. 1. Guess the meaning of new words: quiet, salty, sour, tight, soup.
2. Discuss the use of sense verbs: Sense verbs + adj., Sense verbs + like.
3. Make sentences by using sense verbs.
Part 3: Play the tape and answer questions: 1. How many people are talking? 2. What have they made? 3. Who is going to the airport?
Put students into groups of four to read the conversation.
New words: ask and solve the problem in reading.
Practice: 1. Everyday English.
2. Do exercises about sense verbs.
Summary: The use of sense verbs.
