一、教学目标（Teaching aims）
1. 学习在听到他人不幸的消息时，如何用语言表达。

3. 巩固句型 May...?
4. “四会”词句：after school, sorry, hear, ill in bed, What are you going to do after school? We are going to see him. I'm sorry to hear that.
5. “三会”词句：with, bad, sure, May I go to see him with you?
二、教学重、难点（Key points and difficult points）
1. 掌握用 I'm sorry to hear that. 句型表述在听到他人不幸的消息时的反应。
2. 掌握用 Be going to 句型来表达即将做某事。
三、教学用具（Preparations）
1. 教具：录音机、录音带、图片。
2. 学具：单词卡片。
四、教学过程（Teaching process）
(一) 复习导入
1. 师生互相问好。
2. 复习前几课中所学过的有关病痛的单词。教师说出单词后，学生做动作。最后，教师领读单词，学生跟读。
(二) 新授
1. 听课文录音两遍，要求学生听完后，就所听内容回答问题：What are Helen and Linda going to do after school? What's wrong with Tom?
2. 课文的第一部分：What are you going to do after school, Linda? Tom is ill in bed. We are going to see him.
3. 课文的第二部分：I'm sorry to hear that.
(三) 巩固练习
1. 操练词组：ill in bed, after school, hear。教师出示单词图片，学生熟读单词。
2. 操练 What are you going to do after school? We are going to see him.
3. 操练 I'm sorry to hear that. 教师可扩展此句：I'm sorry to know that. / I'm sorry to see that. /...
(四) 作业
1. 听录音跟读本课所学内容。
